The Tap-pets entertained the crowd from the main stage at the Darebin Festival in All Nations Park on February 26th, 2006. We hoofed it up with a blend of traditional and contemporary routines. Some of the little kids in the audience got quite excited and were bopping away up front with us. One musician who'd seen our act came up to us later to compliment us on our style and repertoire, comparing us to Raw Metal from Queensland. We liked him! It was a good fun day. Kate and I both vowed to throw away our metal-framed sunglasses afterwards. They get too slippery on a sweaty nose. There's a performance tip for free for any tappers with an outdoor gig coming up! |
