Okay.
We did.
I'm still a bit stunned.
But I'd really like to send Maxine McKew an enormous bunch of flowers.

Tap-dancer, mother of the Climber (15) & the Cherub (12), and girlfriend of Mr. Fixit.
It's always nice to get what you want!
ReplyDeleteLooks like your son did a great job! I don't suppose he'd like to write similar affirmations for the next U.S. presidential election?
ReplyDeleteMy kids and everyone here last night are stunned too. Will has not known anyone else in his eleven years but Howard. He is a keen Rudd supporter and is a happy boy today!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe isn't it?! They said it would never happen, yet we truly DO have a Prime Minister called Kevin.
ReplyDeleteNow hopefully there will be some changes for the better :)
Came home to a very happy babysitter last night.
ReplyDeleteFound out she used to actually be the *Secretary* of the NSW ALP, so I suppose I should be more forgiving of all the Wran paraphanalia I grew up with.
I was actually quite impressed !
what a clever boy!! I am too very impressed with Maxine.
ReplyDeleteme too. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need a Bex and a good lie down... as my grandmother used to say ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad your wishes were granted!
Sign my name on Maxine's card too!!!
ReplyDeleteYES! Well Done Maxine!
ReplyDeleteYippeeee for Kev! And double yippppppeeeee for Maxine! How brilliant...
ReplyDeleteEveryone I saw yesterday (strangers included) were rejoicing.it was a triumph against meaness, rampant consumerism and fear...we can now live in a community rather than an economy!
ReplyDeleteand Maxine's speech was great...better than Kev's in fact....go Maxie!!
PS maybe Climber could be a future PM? He appears a lot wiser than many a politician..
It nearly made me want to move back to my house in the electorate of Bennelong just so I could vote for Maxine...
