Fixit thinks Cherub looks even more like a girl now. As for the Climber, he looks about 9. For some reason cutting his hair made his legs look even longer.

  1. I second that !!!

After I got out from under the desk where I was sitting, rocking back and forth, muttering "too short....too short....tooooo shoooooorrrrrttt"

  2. Oh, I tell you, there is haircutting mania going on all over the Blogosphere today.

First Kurrabi Kid has had her son's hair hacked, my daughter deigned to have more than 1mm cut off hers and now even poor Cherub - I hope his hair has gone to a good cause.

  3. Aarrgh indeed.

That reminds me, the lad looks neglected. Not likely to change this week though...

  4. Oh, but LOOK HOW IT MAKES HIS EYES STAND OUT!

    And that cheeky grin!

    (Climber, as always, is GORGEOUS.)

    People! HAIR...GROWS....BACK!

    They're LOVELY, C.

  5. It would be awful hard to cut those curls...

I think they're both beautiful, and daysgoby is right--look at those eyes!

  6. I'w with the "they look beautiful, hair grows back" brigade!

  7. I second both the AAARRRRGGGHHHH! and the "He is beautiful". What's he going to do with his long-haired boy shirt?

  8. Well known phenomenon in our house. Cut the kids' hair, and they seem to grow by at least 2 cm. My cherub-like girl has just had her summer hair cut. It took a week of persuading her dad that really, it would be ok, the world wouldn't end, and like everything else about the child, IT WILL GROW.

  9. I think it looks fine. It was too long before... (hahahaha!! Now I'm ducking and weaving to avoid the torrent of abuse that is sure to come my way....)
Jordan is toying with the idea of growing dreadlocks. My Dad is bald, so I'm inclined to let the boys experiment with their hair while they still can. (Apparently the male baldness gene comes down from the mother's side, so they're all at risk of becoming billiard balls as they grow older.)

  10. No, no, no, no, no...

It makes them lose their superhuman strength.

  12. I wonder if cutting my hair would make my legs look longer...?

    Gorgeous boys.

  13. Cute hair cuts!

I don't really think it matters if Cherub looks like a girl, I was asked if I had three boys the other day, and when I said no, one boy two girls, i WAS ASKED IF THE LITTLEST ONE WAS THE BOY oops didn't mean to yell (caps lock) but somehow it seems appropriate....

  14. I'd get a buzz cut if it would make my legs look longer.

Whichever way your boys have their hair, they are just too cute for words.

  15. I'd have to agree with Fixit. Enter him for Miss Australia--I bet he'd win!

  16. I'm just impressed that there arent't scissors sticking out of the back of his head, half an ear missing and crumbs of an ill-advised biscuit bribe hanging off his face, which is what the Ratbag looked like after his visit to the hairdressers and the tanty he chucked while refusing to have his hair cut.

  17. It's cute. But I'm glad it will grow.

  18. I have no right to comment as my own sons have had rather short hair since forever. (You'd all be appalled at their age for their first haircut.)

Tell Fixit that Cherub looks more like a blonder version of Prince Valiant.

  19. I'm just looking at those broad shoulders in the last pic. Wow.

And you can't ruin the Cherub - he's gorgeous either way.

  20. Funny how hair can change the whole look of a boy. My son finally let me cut his hair and now his head looks two sizes smaller, and he looks taller as well!

    Cute boys.
