Middle and leg

Climber had his first ever match of cricket on Wednesday night.  I thought I ought to show a photo of him in his new cricket whites, you know, whilst they still actually ARE white.

His fellow team members are all as inexperienced as Climber, so we're not expecting them to win a match in the near future, but having said that, we thought Climber batted and bowled very creditably, and he took a very good catch to dismiss someone.

  1. Which bright spark came up with the white cricket thingie anyhoo? Someone heavily into dramatic looking knee skids? Am tempted to ban white (and therefore cricket) in this house...

  2. He looks lovely in his uniform. I bet you're cursing his choice of sport though - could there be a duller game?!

  3. OMG where are his ARMS!!??

He'll be buggered trying to catch anything with no arms!!

    Seriously though...he's a cutie. :)

  4. He does look like you've had his arms amputated. He also looks very tall!

On another note, I agree it's important to document the cricket whites being actually white because they won't be for long.

  5. Oh, cricket. Yawn. Is there a tap version of the game? That may interest me.

  6. Awww, this reminds me of a pic of my brother when he was wee, playing cricked all padded up. The pads and bat were almost as tall as he :)

  8. A green stain on a cricketer's knee is worn with pride. I'm saying he has at least one of those already, and a story of greatness to go with it.

  12. I'm scandalised that Fairlie thinks cricket is a yawn. Shall I start on about strategy, tactics, the mind games? Oh there's a lot to cricket.
Congrats to Climber on his first game. Little boy cricket is very cute.
